Promise is a promise

Aina is very fond of sweet stuffs like chocolate, sweets, candy and especially lollypops. We were heading back home from my parents' house and Aina asked me to buy her a lollypop. I reluctant to buy because only yesterday she had 2 of that kind and yet still asked me for another today. I tried to reason to her and explained the effect of consuming sweet stuffs too much to one's body and particularly to the teeth. It is just not healthy. She insisted to have one today and made an irritating sound just to make me say 'Yes' to her request.

Finally after I and Abang couldn't take it anymore, I said OK but on 1 condition. She may have 1 today and there will be no more lollypops for the next 3 days at least and on my supprise she agreed. Darn!!, I was hoping that she would say No. I told her that we would only stop by the shop after we reach the Petronas near the house.

Because the journey was taking about 40 mnutes, she had fallen a sleep, when both of my kids were a sleep, I and Abang had a bit of a serios conversation and that made us completely forgotten about the promise I made to Aina. We went passed the Petrol Station and headed straight home. Abang parked neatly inside the parking spot, turned off the engine and closed the autogate, Then I woke her up and just as she openned her eyes she quickly muttered where is her lollypop?. Omigosh!, how could we forget about it.

She still a bit sleepy and quickly dozed off again. Without a word from me and Abang, the autogate was openned, reversed the car and drove towards the petrol station. That evening Aina has gotten 2 lollypops instead.
