As parents, we were realy looking forward for this day to come. Since we are both working and sometimes we do not have enough time to help on Aina's study hence we sometimes loss track of her progress in school.
On that Tuesday morning, we were the 1st parents to arrive at the kindergarten. The teacher Cikgu Linda was still getting ready with all the results papers. Seeing us, she quickily took out Aina's one and showed us the results of last semester exam.
Thank god she passed all the papers with Flying Colours!. We are so proud of her. She got full marks for each subjects. The teacher added her remarks saying that she got no. 1 in her class. WOWWWW....is that so?....I looked at her and said...."Pandainyer Anak Mama!!!"....nanti Mama bagi hadiah ek....hearing the word 'Hadiah', she quickily smiled back...(I guess she didn't really understand about being no.1 in her class, but more to getting that gift I promised..heheh)
See all the full marks..
The not so good news is, the report card will not be ready until next semester exam...huhu...this is due to the Head Mistress being away for Maternity Leave....but the teacher did show us the progress card but we couldn't bring it back. ....
So that very evening, I got Abang to go off early and fetch the kids coz I was going to Jusco to get something for Aina and to reward her for the job well done.
I got her these. A Barbie hand bag and a DIY(Do it Yourself) type of gift.
She loves the hand bag very much and quickily put her makeup stuffs and transfered her money from her purse into the bag. I hid the other gift at 1st coz if she sees it, she'll definately force me to work on it right away....no no...not during weekdays...i'll only give her on Saturday.
So during the weekend, I spent sometime to help Aina on her little project of making the Ballerina Frame
These are all inside the box. A manual, a strip of paint pots, paint brush, glitters, frame mould, an easy to dry plaster powder and the frame back stand.
On Friday evening, we started of by making the frame since it needed to be let dry for at least 24 hours.
Super Excited Face of Aina....heheh
Process of making the Pic Frame
To prepare the mould was quite tedious for a 6 year old coz it needs to be done quickily before it gets dry and eventualy harden. So I did this part.
See how fast it harden....just after 20 minutes, I could push it out from the mould frame. But yet it still needs to be left in room temperature for another 24 hours to get it completely dry and ready for painting.
Come the Sunday Afternoon, right after lunch, we continued on the painting job. This time around Aina could put a hands on and Mama monitored closely.
Process of Painting the Ballerina Frame
Ok, all set with the painting equipments.
I asked her to follow the colour exactly even though it is up to us to use any choice of colour for the frame. I just fell in love with the arrangement of colours already and couldn't think of any other design. Maybe next time ...heheh
Painting session started. Lucky her hand was quite stable in holding the paint brush while Miqhail looked on.
Miqhail was behaving ....he didn't crank and disturb her sister...quite a suprise to me actually ....normaly he would grab what ever her sister is having and wanted to do the exact same thing.....but he didn't this time....atta boy...
See....a tap on a shoulder from Miqhail to her sister....for a moral support...heheh
We were having a quality time that evening...working on the project together... should do this more often..
